QBB and Sanrio Turn Shaped Cheese Into a Strawberry Dessert
QBB, the shaped-cheese line from Kobe dairy maker Rokkoh Butter, has gone to Sanrio for its newest flavor. My Melody & Kuromi Shaped Cheese Dessert, Strawberry launched nationwide in mid-August 2026, and it is the only dessert item in the current QBB shaped-cheese lineup.

What It Is
A strawberry-flavored cheese dessert pressed into My Melody and Kuromi shapes. It keeps the clean, milky base of QBB cheese but leans sweeter and fruitier, closer to a chilled dessert than a snack cheese.
Each pack holds three pieces, 30g total, and the pieces are drawn at random from eight different shapes, four for each character. Opening a pack works like a blind box.

Price and Details
Suggested retail price is 185 yen before tax for a 30g pack. Each standard 10g piece carries 34mg of calcium. The shelf life is 180 days and the product must be kept refrigerated between 0 and 10 degrees Celsius, so it is the kind of souvenir to eat on the trip rather than carry home.
Where It Came From
The idea started as a winning entry in QBB's 2024 internal idea contest, where it took the top prize and was developed into a commercial product.
Two Existing Packs Also Got a Refresh
Alongside the new dessert, two established QBB shaped cheeses were redesigned. Both are 30g, 185 yen before tax, 270-day shelf life, nationwide.
- QBB Hello Kitty Shaped Cheese
- QBB Mickey & Friends Shaped Cheese

Good to Know
The dessert pack is a chilled product, so it will not survive a long unrefrigerated trip. All three items are sold nationwide, but availability varies by store.
