Chiikawa x Tokyo Banana Pop-Up Store Opens at Ikebukuro Station

A limited-time Chiikawa x Tokyo Banana pop-up store is coming to Ikebukuro Station. From Thursday, September 17 to Wednesday, October 14, 2026, it will open at the Event Station Ikebukuro South Passage, gathering the collaboration's most popular sweets and goods together in one place - for this limited period only.

The collaboration pairs Tokyo Banana, the classic Tokyo souvenir sweet, with the hugely popular characters of Chiikawa. Here is what you can find at the store.

Chiikawa Banana Pudding Cake

The headline item is the Chiikawa Banana Pudding Cake. A fluffy sponge cake is decorated with one of six characters - Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, Kurimanju, Momonga and Rakko - and which design you receive is a surprise you only discover once the box is open.

Inside is a generous double cream that combines banana pudding custard with bittersweet caramel cream. Wrapped in a lightly baked sponge, the mellow sweetness of banana meets the gentle bitterness of caramel for a richly satisfying, muchau-ma finish.

Chiikawa Cookie Sand - Banana Milk Flavour

The Chiikawa Cookie Sand shows the Chiikawa characters wearing Tokyo Banana headpieces. Six designs are available, featuring the expressive faces of Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi.

The flavour is a mellow banana milk. Crisp, thinly baked langue de chat biscuits sandwich a banana milk chocolate filling - a light, crunchy cookie with gently sweet chocolate that melts together perfectly.

Both the banana pudding cake and the cookie sand come with an original sticker.

Original Bags - Two Designs, Two Halves of the Period

The original bags are released in two designs, split between the first and second half of the event.

September 17 (Thu) to September 30 (Wed): Chiikawa x Tokyo Banana Tote Bag

The tote bag uses an original Chiikawa x Tokyo Banana illustration. The characters appear on the front and back, while the sides show characters peeking out from Tokyo Banana headpieces.

October 1 (Thu) to October 14 (Wed): Chiikawa x Tokyo Banana Eco Bag

With longer handles, the eco bag is easy to sling over the shoulder, and the design can still be enjoyed even when the bag is folded up.
